PORTRAIT PROCEDURE
The portrait procedure begins with a discussion between the artist and the client at either the client's location or the artist's studio.
During this time, the mood, setting, size, and price of the portrait are decided.
The client and artist then decide on whether to use client's photos or to have a photo session. Photographic sessions last about two hours. The artist then selects three to five photographs to use as references and discusses them with the client. With the client's approval, the artist proceeds with the portrait at her studio.
An approximate date of completion is given
- usually two to four months after the portrait is started.
Posthumous portraits can also be arranged dependent upon the quality of available references
