Portraits in Progress

I have a few portraits in progress. Until I can show more, here’s some closeups of two of them. I spend a few hours painting on one piece and when I need it to dry, I switch to another painting. I really love painting eyes. Actually there is not an area of the face that I don’t enjoy painting. But, the eyes are so important in a portrait. I think there’s a few sayings about eyes such as: “eyes are the doorway to the heart”....“eyes are the windows to the soul,” or....”when life gives you lemons, squirt someone in the eye.” Haha...well, I definitely believe the heart and soul part. Maybe the lemons too! ❤️ ~The way to happiness is to be happy~
